Luca Ripanti - Baroque Flutes
The grand tradition of the 17th and 18th centuries tells us that many of the era's most renowned flutists were also instrument makers. Figures like Hotteterre, Quantz, Buffardin, Palanca and Grenser weren't just virtuosos, but also innovators who made significant contributions to both flute repertoire and design. After many years as a flutist myself, it felt natural to begin crafting historical replicas. While each instrument I create is unique, my goal is to meticulously replicate the originals, prioritizing sound, playability, and pitch to best serve the performing musician.
